These look a lot like that fluro orange plastic chain you see in hardware stores doesn't it? Very easy to make.

Weekending (with a little bit of food porn)
Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 4:38 AM
So Hong Kong has heaps of amazing little private dining rooms (little known fact). Like a restaurant but with only a small table of your nearest and dearest, private restaurants have popped up everywhere, mainly due to the fact that most people don't have a huge house in which to entertain. The bf and I went to a dinner party at an amazing one on the weekend owned by a friend where we ate so much beautiful italian food we were actually in pain. Our friend has an organic farm in the new territories where he farms the most amazing fruit and veges including splendid yellow, purple and orange tomatoes. It was the best way to ease out of a phenomenally bad hangover from the night before.
DIY Prada SS11 Banana Earrings
Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2:50 AM
I am addicted to the stripes and banana print Prada SS11 collection, and thanks to my friend over at South Molton Street Style I am totally inspired to make myself some Prada inspired banana earrings as worn by Miuccia Prada on the runway. Can't find little plastic bananas like I did in my local market? (Mine were attached to silly plastic hair bands and I just cut them off). Just use some yellow bananas out of a bag of mixed lollies! May not last more than one wear, but are very fun and could be a sweet treat when you get hungry! I'll show you an outfit pic of me wearing the finished product. I also really like the striped black and pink fabric in the Prada collection, am definitely going to make a bodycon skirt out of a similar fabric this weekend. Also, you may have noticed the poll in the right hand column. I sometimes wonder what you guys want to see more of, so please check the box based on what you think. Share the love and DIY! x

Ha! Whats not to love? To make your own, attach some tassel earrings or any dangly earrings to the ends of the arms of your sunglasses.

DIY Christopher Kane Inspired Tassel Earrings
Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 4:05 PMContinuing the theme on from my recent Jil Sander inspired DIY maxi, I have been feeling very bright and neon recently. It probably helps that Hong Kong winter is pretty damn pleasant compared to London. I absolutely loved the Christopher Kane Spring Summer 11 collection and wanted to make something inspired by the brights. Neon accessories are particularly good if you want to get amongst the brights trend but dont want to go large on a dress or trousers. Found these tassels in a market and was instantly inspired. Bought some little earring studs and tied the tassels on. I can separate them in the future and just wear one colour, very versatile!

Remember this post about DIY tassel earrings? I found some handmade tassels during my exploration of HK (once you start noticing you can see that tassels are everywhere in this city) and decided to make some Anywho style tassel earrings. They were soooo easy to make. I simply attached them to a pair of stud earrings that I already had - little gold ones, by tying them on. So very easy! I wore them on a night out recently with my favourite oriental style dress. The dress is another DIY creation - when I found it in a market in Brisbane it was floor length and had a high collar, I think I improved it no end.

DIY Dreamcatching Earring / Hair piece
Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 8:58 AM
Saw this on a lovely girl at LFW recently, and now again in the Style Stalker lookbook. Yummy! Head down to a local market and pick up a dreamcatcher, and for the earrings, attach to an earring hook (available online or in most craft stores) and go for it - go for one ear rather than both. Or you can attach to a pony tail also for extra cuteness.

Seen on Ms Catherine Baba and reguarly on the Anywho girls, these tassell earrings are too cute to not DIY yourself. All you need is earring hooks, clamp fixtures and any type of tassell you like. Voila!

DIY LFW - Dreamcatcher Earring
Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 3:41 AM
Got pretty excited when I saw this - an earring made out of a dreamcatcher. Not only is it DIY but it touches on the Tribal/American Indian theme that I am feeling at the moment. The lovely girl who had made it kindly told me that 'you can get the dreamcatchers for 4 quid from Camden Markets'. Cheers! Update: Have found out this is the lovely Liisa of Pony Art.
