Why use one scarf for your turban when you can use six? Love the eclecticness of this look.

DIY Full Turban

The inspirational girls at Honesty...WTF have done a great tutorial (following on from the man repeller's tutorial) on how to do a full turban. Just so easy, thanks ladies!
Tutorial from Honestly...WTF:
Before you start, tie your hair in a bun or ponytail. Fold a large square scarf in half into a triangle. Lay the scarf on your head with the center point of the triangle facing forward and the sides hanging down each of your shoulders. Making sure most of your hair is covered, grasp the length of each side and bring them to the top of your head, twisting twice to create a “knot”.
Once you’ve twisted the ends twice into a knot, bring both sides together to the back of your head and tie it tight. Tuck all your loose ends under the back and front of the turban.
Voila, you’ve just made a turban! You can also create a turban-like headband using a rectangular scarf by repeating the same steps without covering all of your hair. Don’t forget the double twist and happy wrapping!

DIY Man Repelling Headwear (Turban)
Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 1:53 AM
My favourite blogger from The Man Repeller has kindly put up a Turban DIY so that we too can get amongst the opposite sex repelling action. I think we can safely say that turbans are on the list of things men will never 'get'. (My bf kindly says 'hmm I don't understand it' when I am wearing something particularly man repellant... although if he had his way girls would vacuum seal their clothes on before leaving the house so I don't take any notice of him).

Tutorial from The Man Repeller:

Step 1: Locate a square scarf. I stole mine from my mom. She is fancy so it is Hermes.
Step 2: Take opposite corners from said scarf and fold them together. This should leave you with a triangle shaped piece o'fabric. If you want, you can tie it around your head and pretend you're a female extra in Fiddler on The Roof. "Match maker, match maker make me a match. Find me a find, catch me a catch." Anyone? Anyone? K, bye.
Step 3: Keep folding.
Step 4: Tie the folded scarf around your head and pretend you're a ninja. This is also an optional step though highly recommended.
Step 5: Tie the folded scarf around your head so that you have bunny ears. Knot it once.
Step 6: Knot it again and start laughing because you're only two steps away from anti-mating!
Step 7: Take the bunny ears you've created and bring them toward the back of your head. Knot again.
Step 8: Put on patent leather booties, pose like a douche bag and voila, male genital deterring continues.

Saw this turban on Honestly WFT, love the tassells at the back - an easy DIY by adding tassells to the back of a vintage hat or turban.

DIY Cut Out silk top

Love the 'A' line angled cut out of this gorgeous silk top. I think it would be an easy DIY with a thrifted silk top or grey marl hoody? (do I need to point out that there's also a turban in this outfit too?).

Just wrap it like a towel and tuck it under at the back... easy! (Best worn with a cute outfit at a festival or similarly fun event... may look strange if you're just heading down to tescos)
