DIY Collaboration with The Style Net - Choose Your Own Adventure!

Monday, June 20, 2011
I am really excited to be collaborating with The Style Net on a few DIY projects over the next couple of months. Head over to The Style Net's facebook page to vote for the DIY project you would like me to do - choose your own adventure (how fun were those books when you were a kid?). Simply 'like' your favourite look in the album and hopefully the project you choose I'll be recreating in the coming weeks. Easy as.

I've been banging on about these and they just keep popping up everywhere. I like the way this one is wrapped around her head like a headband and hanging at the side of her face.

Snapped by Polka Dot

Saturday, October 9, 2010
So I was lucky to meet the lovely Jill (Polka Dot) of the amazing streetstyle blog Street Style London almost as soon as I arrived at LFW day 1, and her youthful energy and smiling face was the perfect beginning to a fantastic day. It was lovely having a chat and a laugh so early on. I had imagined the LFW would be pretty clique-y and exclusive, but everyone I met, especially Jill, was lovely and completely down to earth. Anyhoo, Jill has uploaded some pics of me from that chance meeting here. For details on the outfit I was wearing in these pics see my post on LFW day 1 here (and the DIY tutorial for the shorts here) .
Looking forward to getting to know Jill better!

Still love them.... Use whatever you can to make them - black pipe cleaners and a black headband are a good start.

DIY Bird Hair Piece

Such a cute and novel idea for a party or festival! Love it. These cute little birds can be bought at craft stores or pound stores, wack in your hair and go! The second photo down is the super stylish sister of one of my best friends, she's a budding clothes designer for a brand called Ziesemer, and she makes the most beautiful things (including the dress she's wearing in the photo)! Her blog is here. If that wasn't enough - their mum makes the most AMAZING hats for Ascot Hats. What a creative family!
