How amazing and gorgeously textured are these flower encrusted harness bras? You could definitely make your own with the help of a bra, some plastic or silk flowers and a glue gun. I love it. If you haven't got a hot glue gun you should definitely invest - they are absolutely essential for DIY.

Blogger DIYs
Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 3:11 AM
So I've been so busy making dresses and earrings and working on a few other little projects that I haven't had the time to post some of my favourite DIYs from other creative bloggers. Shame on me! I'm drawn to DIYs like a moth to a flame, so here are some of my favourites.
This gorgeous T strap bra by Ivania of Love Aesthetics is amazing and soo simple! Ivania also made a great wrap skirt using a grey marl long sleeved sweatshirt.
DIYs jewellery using fluro/nautical rope are very popular at the moment - with good reason! This one by Andy of Style Scrapbook is amazing. Being a rock climbing enthusiast it the clasp particularly appeals to me. Check it out here.
Another perfectly executed DIY by A Matter of Style - why buy (from Zara) when you can DIY should be my new motto.

Another great DIY clutch from the adorable MJ of Dreaming Spires and Old Car Tyres - made using a thrifted leather skirt. Perfect!
How amazing is this beaded collar from the lovely Alexandra of She is Red?DIY Lonely Hearts Bra

Loved the recent lonely hearts 'little bandits' lookbook I found at Rag Pony, so much DIY inspiration! The very sweet bras with elastic particularly inspire me to diy - by taking a basic black triangle bra (preferably sheer if you can find one) like this AA one or one found at a market or cheap store, and sewing some thin black elastic onto the top in the triangle shape - you could buy it from a craft store or even cut it off a worn out bra. Its got a certain Bordelle feel that I really like. Definitely on the list.

Bras n shorts
Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 2:14 AM
Recently bought a few cute triangle bras, they are so sweet and makes you wish it was appropriate to wear just bras n shorts. The bf is in HK and the house is full of girls - laughing, crying and lots of chat, bras n shorts seem appropriate. Also, have been LOVING the spreads Sara of Harper and Harley has been doing, of which the image below is one. Everytime I see one I think 'thats what I want to wear' - if it wasnt 3 degrees outside obviously.

DIY Cut Out Bra
Monday, August 2, 2010 at 7:55 AM
Loved the recent post on Outsapop Trashion about how to make a great cage bustier using wire from an old bra, inspired! For some reason it flicked a switch in my brain, making me recall the burnt bra DIY done by Susie from Style Bubble 12 months ago (in contrast to the type of bra burning my mother did in the sixties in case you are confused). I think it would definitely be possible to combine some aspects of each of these great DIYs, by getting an old black bra and cutting it out at the back and front so that just the, piping, elastic straps and wire from the cups are left.

DIY Elastic Bralette
Friday, July 30, 2010 at 9:57 AM
Love the elastic bralette/corset worn over a nude dress, and the double thick straps. I think I might have linked it before but Monoxious provides a great tutorial (here) for how to make an elastic harness. All you need is some black elastic, some pins, needle and thread - and a willing friend/dress form to pin it on.

DIY Summer bralette

The top from this lovely ensemble could easily be DIYed using some scarves from your local thrift store. Tried writing the explanation but it got a bit complex... How would you DIY?

Very easy DIY and so effective - perfect for showing off a cut lace bra (and toned slender arms - requiring a bit more DIYing at the gym...)
